Tyga messed up big time on Kylie Jenner's 19th birthday, and not just because he didn't give her an engagement ring like everyone suspected. Nope, what Tyga did was much worse — he landed himself in legal trouble after gifting Jenner a Maybach.
Why is this such a big deal? Because Tyga's landlord has a $480,000 judgment against him for failing to pay rent on the Malibu mansion he lived in (and reportedly left it in a dire state when he moved out) and the lavish gift, which would have cost at least $200,000, has not gone unnoticed.
However, it's not just Tyga's problem, because according to TMZ, the whole Kardashian clan is worried about how his latest mess will affect their brand, and they were frantically calling him on Tuesday after a judge reportedly issued a warrant for his arrest.
Sources familiar with the situation told the publication that "several family members got Tyga on the horn and railed on him for being super-irresponsible and missing a court hearing." They reportedly also tried to reason with him about the damage it would have caused had he been pulled over and arrested while driving with Kylie.
The Kardashians reportedly don't want this legal mess because of how it may affect their very carefully constructed brand, but it looks like Tyga is going to continue to be a pain in their side for a little longer. He missed his court hearing on Tuesday (which according to TMZ was an opportunity for the landlord's lawyer to question him about where he's keeping his money) because he was celebrating Jenner's birthday with her in the Turks and Caicos.
However, the site notes that Tyga has hired a lawyer to help him clear up the mess. As for Kylie Jenner? We wonder if she plans to return the car, given all the trouble it's causing?
