LG will reportedly be the exclusive supplier of the dual lens camera for the new iPhone 7 Plus, reports Business Korea. On June 8 an industry source told the site, “LG Innotek will exclusively supply dual camera module to Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus, which will come out in September this year."The company is said to begin shipments of the module as early as this month. Other vendors may join the supply chain next year. Sony is the sole supplier of image sensors used by LG to produce camera modules for the iPhone. Last month a report from Nomura's Chris Chang said that LG Innotek would supply a majority of dual lens cameras as Sony has reportedly fallen behind schedule. Apple's expected to unveil the iPhone 7 later this fall.
