Apple services fully restored after going offline for as much as 7 hours

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL)'s services have been restored, after an outage on Thursday in the U.S. that affected the App Store and some functions of iCloud.

Some of iCloud's services came back online around 5:15 p.m. ET, while the store was back online around 6:30 p.m. ET. All services had resumed by 11:55 p.m. ET, according to Reuters.

The outage began between 3 and 4 p.m. ET, when services like Apple TV, Find my iPhone, Mail Drop, and iTunes in the Cloud were also unavailable for some users, according to Apple's support website, which tracks system issues.

Apple said at the time that it was aware of the issue and was investigating, as users tweeted its Support account.
