Things got awkward after Andy Murray thanked Prime Minister David Cameron at Wimbledon

Poor Andy Murray. He just won Wimbledon, he tries to be polite and he gets slapped in the face for it.
The moment in question came after Murray was officially crowned the 2016 Wimbledon champion. Speaking to the interviewer following his match, he spotted Prime Minister David Cameron in the crowd and cracked a Brexit-related joke.
“Playing in a Wimbledon final is tough, but I wouldn’t like to be a prime minister, it’s an impossible job.”
It was all fairly harmless, but it didn’t stop Twitter from going into a tizzy.
Some noticed the boos that Cameron received following the shout out.
