Premier League: Ibrahimovic threatened me over Pogba deal - Raiola

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola has claimed the experienced attacker threatened to "break his legs" if he allowed Paul Pogba to move anywhere other than Manchester United.
Raiola represents both players and he has revealed Ibrahimovic made it very clear that he would be unhappy if the France international did not end up at Old Trafford.
After a period of intense media speculation, Raiola eventually brokered the most valuable transfer in football history when Pogba moved from Juventus to Manchester United for €105 million.
However, Raiola has stressed Ibrahimovic – who has a black belt in taekwondo - sent him a stern warning before the deal was completed.
"Zlatan told me 'Do not transfer Pogba elsewhere or I will break your legs'," Raiola said.
Pogba came in for criticism after failing to impress with his early performances for United, but he scored his first goal for the club in a 4-1 victory over Premier League champions Leicester City on
Saturday.
Raiola feels his client has not featured in his best position, though.
"Pogba still has to find his place in the team. My preferred position for him is left attacking midfielder," the Frenchman's agent added.
"With his power, stamina and technique, Pogba would be unplayable in that role. But [Jose] Mourinho takes the decisions."

German goalkeeper arrested after conceding 43 goals in one game

Sometimes, a performance on the field is so bad that it’s criminal. That may quite literally be the case for a goalkeeper in the lower leagues of Germany.

In a recent league game, SV Vonderort broke an undesirable record when it lost 43-0 to rival PSV Oberhausen.

According to German newspaper Express, SV Vonderort was down 35-0 at halftime – that must have been a fun team talk in the interval! – and at one point it was only able to field eight players. PSV Oberhausen was so embarrassed by its lead that it made the sporting gesture of removing three of its own players to even up the numbers.

After conceding a goal nearly every two minutes, goalkeeper Marco Kwiotek may have wanted to completely forget about the performance.

However, five days later at a training session, two police cars arrived at Vonderort’s training ground in Bottrop (around 30 miles west of Dortmund). The 25-year-old keeper was escorted from the training field by armed officers and brought to the local police station for questioning.

Kwiotek called out to players as he was led from pitch by cops at the club’s base in Bottrop, western Germany: “They just want to clear some things up.”
He has not been seen since and police have refused to comment on why he was taken into custody.

The circumstances of the police inquiry are unclear and Kwiotek has since failed to answer his phone.

Club managing director Christian Schröer told Express that he hopes the shot stopper will be available for selection in Vonderort’s next game. Hopefully, he won’t have to reach into the net quite so often in that one.

This Is What It's Like to Fly in a $22,000 First-Class Seat

Last week, I flew back from Aruba, where I'd been invited to a happiness conference and hosted at the glorious Tierra Del Sol golf course.
I flew with American Airlines.
I don't usually watch movies on the plane, but this time I thought I'd buy some headphones at Miami airport for the long trip back to the Bay Area.
It was money ill spent.
The TV screen in front of my coach seat simply didn't work.
I could depress one button and the image of a smiling American Airlines staff member would change to another image of a smiling American Airlines staff member.
Try to get a movie, however and, well, it wasn't going to happen.
I tell this story only to contrast it with flying first class.
There's a gulf so wide that it's like comparing a shack in Queens with Trump Tower.

Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie Have Called It Quits

Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie have decided to pull the plug on their relationship. These two were first spotted together back at the beginning of August. Justin put their romance on blast when he decided to post several pictures of them together in the backseat of a car on Instagram.

Of course, like with all celeb relationships, the fans started to freak out but this time in a negative way causing JB to make his Instagram private.

So what happened to the couple who seemed so in love just a few weeks ago while on vacation together in Mexico? TMZ is reporting that things just fizzled out between them. They haven't been seen together since the getaway and they supposedly haven't been talking either!

TMZ was also told that Justin is completely single and anxious to date other girls. Hmm...Justin nor Sofia have commented on the news, but it doesn't really come as a shock. JB hasn't settled down since his days with Selena Gomez and it doesn't seem like he's going to anytime soon. With a busy schedule, good looks and his celebrity status, having a girlfriend might be the last thing on his mind!

Apple's iPhone 7 puts Galaxy Note 7 to shame in real-world performance test

The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have made headlines of late for their blazing-fast performance, blowing pretty much every other phone out of the water when it comes to benchmarks. Benchmarks, however, are a little limited, and don’t always show how the phone performs in the real world. So is the iPhone 7 faster in the real world? According to a speed test conducted by PhoneBuff, the answer seems to be a resounding “yes.”

The test pits the iPhone 7 against the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 — one of the more powerful Android phones to hit shelves this year. In the test, each phone is used to open up a series of popular and processor-intensive apps.

The iPhone 7 doesn’t just completely dominate against the Galaxy Note 7 — it laps it by completing its second run of opening the apps before the Galaxy S7 has even finished its first. That’s despite the fact that the iPhone 7 has a mere 2GB of RAM compared to the Galaxy Note 7’s 4GB. It somewhat confirms Apple’s claim that designing software and hardware together improves performance and means the phone can perform well with less RAM.

In the end, the iPhone 7 finishes two runs of opening up the apps in a speedy 1 minute 40 seconds, while the Galaxy Note 7 takes almost twice as long, with a time of 3 minutes 14 seconds.

The results aren’t all that surprising. Even the iPhone 6S beats out the Galaxy Note 7 in PhoneBuff’s tests. Still, many are hoping that the new Snapdragon 821 processor and the new series of Google Pixel phones will be able to salvage some of Android’s power prowess. The new phones are expected to launch some time in early October.

Mark Zuckerberg is one reason there aren’t enough houses to buy in Palo Alto

It turns out there are still some things being a billionaire doesn’t automatically get you—such as the right to tear down your neighbors’ homes for your own convenience.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg moved into his $7 million, 5,000-square-foot home in Palo Alto, California, in 2011. Two years later, Zuckerberg also snatched up four nearby homes for $30 million, planning to bulldoze them and rebuild smaller versions into a compound-like space in which friends and family could stay. According to the architecture firm working with Zuckerberg, “the current property is quite restricted and so this is just giving them more space for their residential functions.”
But an advisory board is now urging the city to put a stop to those plans.
Palo Alto’s Architectural Review Board decided this week that Zuckerberg’s property expansion plan violates zoning codes and ideal land use—because it removes four independent homes from the market and cuts into the city’s already limited housing stock. For a single family to use five entire properties would be a breach of the city’s commitment to protecting single-family housing availability, board members told The Mercury News.
Zuckerberg, for all his (and Facebook’s) ambitions to unite the world and reduce economic inequality, has drawn more than a few raised eyebrows for lofty real estate plans. The billionaire was accused of hoarding parking spots around his San Francisco residence in 2014, and he most recently built a controversial six-foot-tall stone wall around his Hawaiian island home.
No wonder Palo Alto isn’t too happy about his latest expansion plans—especially given the dismal state of the Bay Area’s housing market, which was largely caused by Silicon Valley’s mega-explosion in the first place.

How to enable Wi-Fi calling on your iPhone

Apple has long supported FaceTime Audio for the iPhone, which lets you chat with other iCloud users via Wi-Fi and (if your carrier allowed it) cellular data. Now, some users are getting their first taste of Wi-Fi calling, a carrier-based technology.

What's Wi-Fi calling?

Unlike FaceTime, Wi-Fi calling is carrier-driven, and depends on a technology called SIP / IMS (IP Multimedia Subset). The technology enables your iPhone to make and receive phone calls using a regular Wi-Fi network.

Instead of routing your voice packets through your carrier's closest cell tower, those packets get tunneled through the Internet to a controller used by your cell company, which then bounces them across the network to whomever you're speaking. The net result is that you're talking, but you're not actually using a cell tower to do it. For people who live in areas with poor or inconsistent cellular reception, Wi-Fi calling is an absolute savior.

If your carrier supports Wi-Fi calling, it's also a great way to get clearer, crisper calls when chatting with all your friends — not just those on an iPhone or Mac. Here's how to enable it.

How to turn on Wi-Fi calling for your iPhone

Open the Settings app.
Tap Phone > Wi-Fi Calling.
Switch the Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone slider to On.
You'll see a warning about location data and what your carrier collects. Tap Enable to turn on Wi-Fi Calling.

For some carriers, like AT&T, you may be bumped into a Safari WebView, where you're asked to agree to terms and conditions and provide an Emergency Call address (in case you dial 911 and they can't locate you on Wi-Fi, this gives emergency responders a place to send assistance).

Manchester United players grant dying fan's final wish

A football fan's final wish came true when four Manchester United stars paid him a visit an hour before he died.

Patrick Lawler, 73, wanted to meet the players before his death so his family launched an appeal on social media.
Granddaughter Kayleigh Lawler Carson posted on Sunday: "I want to get this as a surprise, he's a MASSIVE fan".
Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young and Timothy Fosu-Mensah then turned up at Mr Lawler's home in Wythenshawe before he died on Tuesday.
The initial Facebook plea was shared 1,015 times before the players visited him after training. They posed for photographs and signed autographs while they were there.
Mr Lawler, who had cancer, died 45 minutes later.
Ms Lawler Carson posted: "Please can everyone share I'm trying to get a few of Manchester United players to come and visit my granddad, we asked him the other day if he would like to do anything before his time comes and he said to meet the team.
"And not sure how long we have left with him so I want to get this as a surprise, he's a MASSIVE fan, even tried his hardest to keep his eyes open yesterday to watch the match [Man Utd v Man City derby] but sadly he missed it!
"I know he will be so gutted that he didn't watch it. I'm sure he will be a very happy man if I can get his last wish Thankyou to u all Xxx."

A Stone-Faced Jonah Hill Did Not Like Getting Burned By a French TV Presenter, So He Canceled the Rest of His France PR Stops

A helpful PSA for us all: Jonah Hill is not his screen presence. French comedian and TV presenter Ornella Fleury learned that lesson the hard way last week when Hill and Miles Teller appeared on Le Grand Journal to promote War Dogs. The disconnect — helped along handily by a language barrier and the ensuing awkward pauses — was evident almost immediately, as Fleury clearly thought her guest was Jonah Hill, Judd Apatow acting troupe member, when, really, Jonah Hill, guy who wants to be taken seriously, showed up. First, Fleury joked about falling for Hill in This Is the End, saying, "when I saw you get sodomized by a 3-meter tall demon ... I told myself, now that’s the man of my dreams." Hill initially played along, jabbing back: "I heard you get sodomized quite often." When Fleury tried continuing the bit, however, Hill got right well ticked off.

Fleury joked: "We would meet up in a hotel room at night. We would chat, you’d make me laugh... and then, all of a sudden, you’d bring your friends Leo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. And then you would leave." Hill's displeased response? "I'm glad I came on this show to get ridiculed by your local weather girl." Yeah, it's safe to assume that something was lost in translation.

While that marked the end of the onscreen tiff, Hill didn't get over Fleury's remarks so easily. On Sunday, word came by French news outlet BFMTV that Hill had canceled all of his remaining press appearances in the country. The next day, Fleury apologized for her jokes. Per translation by The Local, she said: "Jonah, the problem is that for 10 years I have lived with you through your films ... I really had the impression that I knew you, so last Friday I thought I was just messing around with a friend, but the reality is that we are not friends." Hill has yet to accept or acknowledge the apology, and all the while Miles Teller sits glumly by.

Gigi Hadid Opens Up About Dating Zayn Malik and Why She Loves his "British Charm"

Gigi Hadid has opened up about her relationship with British pop star Zayn Malik. Turns out, she's into more than just his music.

In an interview with the London Evening Standard Magazine, the 21-year-old supermodel reveals what it is she loves the most about the former One Direction singer.

"I would say his brain," she tells the magazine. "For the first time, we are both in a relationship where we have very similar interests outside of work and that is really important. We cook a lot together and do art together and we're each other's best friends. We both feel we can talk about anything and learn a lot from one another."
Gigi, who has been dating Zayn on and off for more than a year, also admits she has fallen for the "British sense of charm." She adds that her friend Taylor Swift, who recently split from British actor Tom Hiddleston, is a fan of of this, too.

There's another perk when it comes to going out with a Brit: home-cooked food!

"I'm loving Heinz baked beans in the morning, yeah and Z cooks a lot," Gigi says. "He makes a brilliant curry. Butter chicken is his signature dish. Don't worry–he's representing good for the British boys!"

While Los Angeles-born Gigi has reached superstar status as one of the world's most sought-after models, she has a back-up plan if her career doesn't work out.

"I would go back to school," she explains. "I studied criminal psychology for two years so I'd carry on with that. Throughout my life I have had several serious ambitions, or aspirations. I wanted to be everything. I wanted to be an emergency-room doctor, I wanted to be an Olympic volleyball player and an Olympic horseback rider."

For now, the most in-demand face in fashion is doing a fine job of taking the industry by storm.

Drake Bought His Neighbor's House In California So He Can Be As Loud As He Wants

Say what you will about Drake (and you could say quite a bit if you really wanted to), but homeboy is a man of his word. For instance, if his neighbors are causing him grief by complaining about the noise coming from his house, Drake will straight up by those neighbors’ house. Straight up! Drake made such a claim in “Where Ya At,” his collaboration with Future from DS2.

“I’ll buy the neighbors’ house if they complain about the noise.”

Drake wasn’t playing. Drake did just that.

According to Trulia, a real estate website, Drake recently dropped some easy money on the house next to his Hidden Hills, California crib, which he purchased in 2012 for $7.7 million (or 10067750 loonies, if you’re keeping score at home). His new purchase sounds perfect if Rihanna and her crew want to spend some time with Drake, but also want to keep it casual. The estate is 4,445 square feet with four bedrooms and five bathrooms and the always welcomed promise of endless privacy. All of that made the house a no-brainer purchase for Drake.

Of course, we don’t know exactly why Drake purchased the house. It could have been because of some beef with the neighbors or it could have been Drake heeding the advice of his money manager, who may have recently urged him to drop some of that Views money on the gift that keeps on giving: real estate.

Husband Puts Whining Wife Up For Sale On eBay

When you have a barney with your other half, you might expect a bit of sulking, stomping off to the pub or stealing the last slice of cake. But what you likely wouldn’t expect is to find yourself listed on eBay.

But that’s exactly what happened to Leandra, 27. After an argument with her husband, Simon O’Kane, 33, the father-of-two decided to sell his ‘Used Wife’ on the bidding site.

“I came in after work feeling a bit tired and unwell – my wife was doing the usual concerned bit but said I was burning the candle at both ends and was basically just whining at me,” Simon told Daily Mail.

“I thought: 'Right, I’m going to put you up for sale’.”

Simon posted the listing using the title ‘Used Wife’, alongside a picture of Leandra and a tongue-in-cheek description.

“For sale one wife,” he wrote. “Not new has been used but still got some good miles left in her.”

“Reason for selling … I’ve had my fill and feel like there HAS to someone out there that is more deserving of her [than] me (oh dear god please let there be.)”

Going on to list Leandra’s body work and paint work as still in decent condition, he went on to say she had some skills in the kitchen, before listing her bad points:

“Often makes this noise that cannot be silenced unless you order brand new shiny parts of metal,” he quipped.

“Sometimes them skills in the kitchen result in you ending up in hospital. All in all not a bad model for the year. I’m sure some lucky guy will get lots of use.”

He finished the post inviting people to make him an offer before joking that he might consider a part exchange for a younger model.

“*T&C’s Once bought, you cannot return … EVER!” he concluded.
But it seems Simon did a good job of selling his wife in the description as she managed to tot up 57 bids, with the highest bidder offering a whopping £65,888.

But despite the high bidding, Leandra wasn’t exactly thrilled to find her husband had listed her on the site.

“I was absolutely fuming – I wanted to kill him,” she told Daily Mail.

“Everyone at work saw it and were laughing their heads off. Not only did he put me up for sale but he used such a bad photo.”

Thankfully it wasn’t long before eBay removed the post and hopefully saved the pair’s marriage in the process!

Simone Biles Reveals She's Been Taking Medication for ADHD After Hackers Leak Her Rio Olympics Drug Test

America's golden girl Simone Biles has become the victim of a Russian hacking scandal.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) confirmed Tuesday that a Russian cyber espionage group, known as Fancy Bear, illegally broke into its database and obtained private medical records of American athletes through an International Olympic Committee (IOC)-created account.

Along with Biles' health information, the hackers acquired Serena Williams and Venus Williams' records as well. All three athletes were reportedly given medical exemptions to use banned drugs.
The 19-year-old gymnast, who took home four gold medals and one bronze at the Rio Olympics, addressed the drug testing leak on Twitter Tuesday, revealing that she had been taking medication for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

"I have ADHD and I have taken medicine for it since I was a kid. Please know, I believe in clean sport, have always followed the rules, and will continue to do so as fair play is critical to sport and is very important to me," Biles tweeted.
In a subsequent post she wrote, "Having ADHD, and taking medicine for it is nothing to be ashamed of nothing that I'm afraid to let people know."

That same day, WADA's Director General, Olivier Niggli, released a statement: "WADA deeply regrets this situation and is very conscious of the threat that it represents to athletes whose confidential information has been divulged through this criminal act."

This is not the first time WADA has been hacked. In August, Russian whistleblower and former runner Yuliya Stepanova's medical history and testing results were leaked.

Justin Bieber's Family Is Reportedly Speaking Out About Selena Gomez

There's no doubt about it that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had a special connection. Just think about it, they are STILL being linked to each other today – years after they broke up. Regardless of whether or not that's shippers hoping they get back together one day or if the rumors that they still keep in touch are true, there was definitely love between them.

Now that Selena has made the announcement to cancel the rest of her schedule for the upcoming year including her REVIVAL tour dates, it got Selenators wondering why this all went down.

InTouch is exclusively reporting that Justin had something to do with it and how his family really feels about her struggles.

A source said, "Her problems are a combination of drinking, partying and her lupus." Apparently, she is in a "free fall," and her back and forth with the Biebs is the root of the issues. The source said that the "Good For You" singer had a total meltdown and when JB tried ignoring her, it made things worse!

Now, his family is hoping she gets back to good place and on the right track. The source added, "Justin and his family are praying that she gets the help she needs. They just want Selena to get well." Aww!

This whole thing is super upsetting but it's really nice to see, if it's true, that Justin's family still thinks about her. She was a huge part of their lives for a long period of time so it's only natural for them to care about her!

Arsene Wenger tells Jose Mourinho not to sit by him at coaches conference

Like a scene out of Mean Girls, Arsene Wenger told Jose Mourinho not to sit next to him during a recent coaches conference in Switzerland. Mourinho apparently showed up a little late for Alex Ferguson's speech, and when he asked if he could sit in an empty seat by Wenger, was told "no, it isn't possible" by the Arsenal manager.

Who's responsible for starting this feud is certainly up for debate, as Wenger has done his fair share of moralizing about Arsenal playing the right way and Mourinho's teams playing anti-football. But it's indisputable that the recent unprompted pot-shots have come from Mourinho, who has called Wenger a "specialist in failure" and took shots at Arsenal in his first press conference as Manchester United manager.

Mourinho vs. Pep is the big on-pitch rivalry in the Premier League right now, while Mourinho vs. Ferguson is its greatest ever when it comes to actual soccer, but Mourinho vs. Wenger will always be the league's greatest off-pitch rivalry.

Chloé Grace Moretz has dropped out of all her movies — here’s why

Nineteen year old actress and model Chloé Moretz is super, super busy. As Noelle Devoe at Seventeen reports, Moretz has a whopping 57 titles under her belt, and has been acting in movies and TV since she was seven. Allegedly, acting is taking a big step back in Moretz’s life for the time-being.

That’s right: Moretz told The Hollywood Reporter that she “pulled the plug” on all of her movies so she can take some time to focus on herself and do some soul-searching.

As she puts it, “I pulled the plug on all my movies because I want to reassess who I am and find myself within my roles again. I’m realizing that I can slow down.” And we can’t blame her at all!

Of course, fans of Moretz are already wondering what this means for her upcoming roles, such as her leading role in the new adaptation of The Little Mermaid. No official word has been released on how her decision will impact specific roles yet, but the good news is that we can see Moretz in films out this coming year because, you know, movies are made way before they’re actually released.

Specifically, November Criminals and the psychological drama Brain on Fire are both due out in the coming year, meaning that we have something to look forward to on the big screen.

For the curious, The Hollywood Reporter discovered that Moretz won’t be spending her time lounging around the house. Instead, she’s using her break from acting to produce not one, but two TV shows. What else? She’s reportedly also campaigning for Hillary Clinton. That’s right: Not only is Moretz a talented actress, but she’s also active in politics. No wonder fans love her, are we right?

This may be the quote that doomed $9 billion startup Theranos

A year ago, Theranos founder, CEO and Chairman Elizabeth Holmes was one of the darlings of Silicon Valley before praise for her blood-testing company turned to criticism and doubt about its efficacy after a reporter read an article with a cryptic description of its technology, reported Vanity Fair.

Theranos has come under fire after a series of articles from The Wall Street Journal documented the problems at Theranos, which claimed its blood-testing technology could supply an enormous amount of data with only a tiny sample. Amid growing doubt about its technology, Walgreens (WBA) ended its relationship with the company and the U.S. banned Holmes from running labs for two years.

The Wall Street Journal's John Carreyrou's investigation of the company's practices began after the reporter read an article in The New Yorker. In the article, Holmes, who like her idol, the late Steve Jobs, is known for her secrecy, supplied a rather cryptic response for how the technology worked.

She told The New Yorker that "a chemistry is performed so that a chemical reaction occurs and generates a signal from the chemical interaction with the sample, which is translated into a result, which is then reviewed by certified laboratory personnel."

Galaxy Note 7 explodes in Australian hotel, causes $1,380 in damage

Amid reports of Galaxy Note 7 devices either catching fire or exploding, Samsung last week initiated an unprecedented recall for its high-profile and initially high-praised phablet. The recall, naturally, won’t come cheap however, with one Samsung executive indicating that it may cost the company upwards of $1 billion.

Of course, since some Galaxy Note 7 owners haven’t yet decided to trade in their device for a new one, we’re still seeing reports of exploding devices sprout up across the globe. Most recently, a Galaxy Note 7 owner named Tham Hua was catching some shut-eye at a hotel in Perth, Australia when his charging Note 7 exploded and, in turn, caused upwards of $1,380 worth of damage.

Originally posted on Reddit, Hua said that the mini-explosion completely destroyed his device.

“Phone completely fried,” Hua said. “I can't eject the sim tray to retrieved my sim or the SD card. I was using original charger and cable if you are wondering. Charred the hotel room bed sheet and the carpet when I whacked it down to the floor, burnt one of my finger while doing that too.”
As for those wondering if the phone actually exploded, Hua said that’s exactly what happened.

“To me it was an explosion, a small one,” Hua explained. “It fizzed and then phone [popped] open, flame and smoke follow (sic), almost had a panic attack sight to see waking up.”

Upon contacting Samsung, Hua was given a loaner phone and was told that this was the first reported case of an exploding Note 7 in Australia. I'm sure this wasn't the international rollout that Samsung had initially envisioned.

As for Hua’s final thoughts, well, he advises Note 7 owners to take advantage of Samsung’s replacement program ASAP and to not try to test their luck.

“Please do not use the phone anymore, it is dangerous and not worth the risk,” Hua said. “I knew of the recall and lodged my application with Samsung as soon as they announced officially on Friday, and now 3 days later it has happened to me.

As for the $1,380 worth of damage to the hotel room, Hua said that Samsung will take care of that on his behalf.
Given the wave of bad press and the overall black mark that this recall has had on Samsung’s brand and reputation, we have to imagine that even Samsung is glad that Apple’s iPhone 7 is set to be unveiled later this week.

Dodge May Have AWD, Widebody Hellcat Challengers Coming Soon

Because you can never have too many muscle cars in this day and age, Dodge is reportedly planning on whipping up both all-wheel-drive and widebody Hellcat versions of the Challenger over the course of the next year.

According to Automotive News's deep dive into the future of Dodge, the carmaker will reveal the first all-wheel-drive version of the fabled muscle car this fall, under the name Challenger GT AWD. Come 2017, Dodge will reportedly reveal the creme de la creme of the Chally lineup—a widebody version powered by the 707-horsepower Hellcat V-8 that goes by the moniker of Challenger ADR.

(Considering the lineup of the soon-to-be-deceased Viper topped out with a trim level called ACR, we at The Drive assume the new widebody Hellcat Challenger's designation is meant as an homage to the dearly-departed track-spec super snake; that said, since ACR actually stood for "American Club Racer," we're curious to see what Mopar claims ADR is short for.)

In spite of reports definitively claiming the widebody Hellcat Challenger will send its power to all four wheels, it's unclear whether or not which way the Chally ADR will route all those ponies to the pavement. On the one hand, the Hellcat motor is expected to be hooked up to a four-wheel-drive system in the upcoming Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, so clearly Fiat Chrysler builds an AWD system capable of handling all that grunt; on the other hand, the Challenger/Charger lineup currently restricts AWD to V-6-powered models.
The new Challengers are expected to be among the final variants on Mopar's current muscle car platform, which dates back more than a decade to the era when Chrysler was owned by Daimler. A lighter replacement built on the same basic platform as the Alfa Romeo Giulia is expected to arrive somewhere in 2018, acompanied by a brand-new Charger based on the same bones; a convertible will reportedly follow in 2021, possibly wearing the long-lost name Barracuda.

Bill Gates talked Microsoft out of trying to buy $3.8 billion Slack — so now Microsoft is trying to kill it

In March, reports emerged that Microsoft was mulling over an $8 billion bid to snatch up the red-hot, $3.8 billion work chat app Slack — but Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates put the kibosh on that before an offer could be made.

Gates' argument was that Microsoft would be better served taking Skype, which it bought for $8.5 billion in 2011, and using it as the launchpad for a Slack competitor.

Now, it looks like Microsoft took Gates' feedback to heart: Microsoft-focused blog MSPoweruser reports that the tech titan is currently testing a new tool called Skype Teams, and it looks and sounds a lot like Slack, with at least one key improvement.

Much like Slack, Skype Teams offers "channels," which are different chat rooms for groups like sales, marketing, or product. A key difference is "threaded conversations," MSPoweruser reports, which helps organize conversations by making it look more like a Facebook comment thread.

Otherwise, Skype Teams and Slack look to offer a similar vibe, including the ability to make voice calls straight from the chat window. MSPoweruser has what appear to be Skype Teams screenshots that it claims were obtained from Microsoft employees.

Eventually, MSPoweruser reports, Skype Teams will make its way to the Office 365 suite as part of the monthly subscription for businesses, as well as potentially being available as a standalone product.
It's a logical move for Microsoft, as Slack makes tons of headway in the lucrative business-software space. Plus, Microsoft is always looking for new ways to convince businesses to upgrade to Office 365, which has the potential to make a lot more money per customer for the company.

And while Slack has found a niche in startups and midsize companies, it has struggled to make progress in the much-sought-after large enterprise market. Companies like Uber ended up abandoning Slack, going back to its chief competitor, Atlassian HipChat, apparently because it didn't offer the necessary security and compliance features.

So while Slack has won a lot of love in Silicon Valley, Microsoft's enterprise experience and expertise could make it a serious contender in this market. But with billions on the line, it'll be a real fight.

A spokesperson for Microsoft says that the company is "always building and testing new solutions to help people collaborate and get more done," but declined to offer specific comment on Skype Teams.

BlackBerry's 2016 Android Phone Lineup REVEALED: The BlackBerry DTEK50 Is Just The Beginning

The first BlackBerry Android phone is out of the blocks for 2016 and, once again, BlackBerry has kind of made a dog’s dinner of the handset’s name. It’s called the BlackBerry DTEK50. I know, I know — it sounds like something you’d grill a steak on and not at all like a handset you’d lust after in a phone shop. I don’t get why they don’t just stick with the codenames? They’re always good — Rome, Milan, etc,…

BlackBerry will apparently be launching three Android phones this year. And the DTEK50 is one of the lower-end models, judging by its $299 price tag. This is likely a good thing, though, because BlackBerry — once again — hasn’t scrimped on anything: the DTEK50 looks great and packs in plenty of useful specs and hardware, so you’re getting quite a bit for your buck.
BlackBerry's newest offering comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 13MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash, an 8 MP selfie shooter, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 617 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, and a 2,610 mAh battery. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

BlackBerry says the DTEK50 is the world’s most secure phone. It also confirmed that it will be issuing monthly security updates to the phone in order to keep it this way.
So what makes the DTEK50 so secure? A few things, actually:

Rapid Security Patching: BlackBerry has a record of being the quickest to deliver security patches, setting the bar in incident response and patch management to protect your device from malicious threats.

DTEK™ by BlackBerry App: Enables users to automatically monitor their OS and apps to know when their privacy could be at risk and to take action to improve it. The DTEK app also tracks applications and notifies you when someone is: taking pictures or videos without your knowledge, turning your microphone on, sending a text message, or accessing your contacts or location.

Hardware Root of Trust: BlackBerry’s manufacturing process uses a proprietary technique that adds security from the start, allowing for the tracking, verification and provisioning of DTEK50.

Secure Boot Process: Starting with the root of trust, each stage of DTEK50’s secure boot chain must first verify that the next component is fully intact before proceeding, ensuring your device has not been tampered with since the last restart.

Android OS hardening: BlackBerry provides additional security patches, improved random number, address space generation and certificate pinning to make it more difficult for attackers to target a device by scrambling application/system memory.

FIPS 140-2 Compliant Full Disk Encryption: Protects your private information, like pictures or bank information, from being stolen if you were to lose your phone.

The BlackBerry DTEK50 is up for pre-order RIGHT NOW in the UK and US for $299.

Google may have just created artificial intelligence for real because the future is here

In fact, Google and it’s new search engine software, RankBrain, is learning to guess what you’re thinking and your search game will never be the same.

This type of artificial intelligence is becoming more and more common and is just kind of the way it’s going to be with new technology from now on. TechCrunch breaks it down for us, saying that RankBrain is really ANI – artificial narrow intelligence, which is like, “AI for one particular thing (e.g. beating the world champion in chess).”

Last year, Google announced their new search software, RankBrain, that according to Bloomberg News, “Can make a guess as to what words or phrases might have a similar meaning and filter the result accordingly, making it more effective at handling never-before-seen search queries.”

This means that even if you type something into the search bar that has never been typed before, or if it’s too complicated for the algorithm to understand, it can GUESS what you mean and return some stuff that you MIGHT find helpful.

While it may sound a little too Ex Machina for comfort, it’s actually a pretty cool development.
Experts are going nuts over this new technology because, “It continues the pattern of Google getting better at identifying the intent behind search queries and serving up content that satisfies that intent rather than just the content that best matches the searcher’s precise keywords.”

If all this sounds a little too complex to process, that’s because it sort of is. Essentially, it’s just about patterns – assessing your needs and returning what it THINKS you might like. Which all sounds pretty amazing and we can’t wait to try the technology ourselves.

Malia Obama wears ‘smoking kills’ shirt at festival after criticism for smoking at Lollapalooza

First daughter Malia Obama has reportedly turned a new leaf when it comes to smoking, as the 18-year-old wore a shirt at a music festival that read “smoking kills.”
Weeks after allegedly smoking a joint at Lollapalooza, the eldest daughter of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama attended the 2016 Budweiser Made in America Festival in Philadelphia over the weekend, where she appeared to be having a good time listening to the bands and artists performing there.
The shirt she was wearing, “smoking kills,” went along nicely with her jean shorts, sneakers and Harvard ball cap.

The festival in Philadelphia featured artists including Rihanna, Coldplay, Chance the Rapper, Grimes and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.
Malia Obama was previously seen dancing and having a good time at Lollapalooza, but news quickly focused on video footage showing her smoking something at the Chicago music festival.

A previous report states Obama was reportedly smoking a joint, according to eyewitnesses at the concert, but what she was actually smoking at the concert has yet to be confirmed.
Many criticized the 18-year-old for smoking, but others came to her defense and many essentially asked: Who cares?
“So apparently, Malia Obama was caught smoking pot. Yassss girl (emoji) & she's going to Harvard. Get you a Malia that can do both. (emoji),” one Twitter user said on Aug. 10.

Kendall Jenner and Kaia Gerber Hang Out Together in Weekend Chic Ensembles

Casual weekend style has never looked so chic. Kendall Jenner spent the day yesterday hanging out in Beverly Hills with friend and fellow model Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford's daughter, and both ladies looked cool and collected in their low-key outfits.

Jenner, the 20-year-old model, showed some skin with her sexy getup. She wore a blue-green crushed velvet bodysuit with a low-cut neckline, and she paired it with denim short shorts to show off her toned legs. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star completed her weekend look with shiny black boots, a tan backpack, and circular sunglasses that she propped up on top of her head.

Her gal pal, Gerber, who just turned 15, took a more conservative fashion route, but looked no less fabulous. The up-and-coming model and actress wore tight black jeans, a white T-shirt that she knotted at her waist, and a black leather jacket. She looked ultra-cool with black sunglasses and white sneakers as she and Jenner headed out on the town.

The two lovely ladies have worked together before, but not in the way you might expect. Instead of posing side-by-side, Jenner was actually behind the camera when they collaborated, taking pictures of Gerber for a feature in U.K.-based Love Magazine. The images came out great, proving that the models make a talented team.

Did Tim Cook already tell us the new iPhone will work with Apple Pencil?

Expectations are low for the new iPhones that will be announced this week. But Apple CEO Tim Cook may have let slip one intriguing tidbit about Apple Pencil and the upcoming new versions of smartphones.

As spotted by the Daring Fireball blog this weekend, it seems Cook gave an interview earlier this year in which he said: “If you’ve ever seen what can be created with that pencil on an iPad or an iPhone, it’s really unbelievable.”

The interview was on India’s NDTV back in May. According to the transcript, the interviewer asked:

“Has that voice never come to you? For example, when you launched the pencil, and you know what Steve said, ‘If you see a stylus, they blew it,’ when you launched that pencil?”

That’s when Cook offered his response. He also added: “Well we launched a pencil, not a stylus, first of all, and there’s a big difference, and the things that people are doing with this pencil, I think that Steve would have loved. He loved to help people create.”

The question refers to the dismissive remarks Jobs famously made about the Apple Newton and its use of a stylus.

Of course, if the new iPhone 7, or whatever it’s called, is compatible with Apple Pencil, then it opens up a whole series of interesting possibilities for developers. And having sunk so much money into developing Pencil, it also seems a question of: “Why not have it work with the iPhone?”

On the other hand, it would be hard to ignore that this would be the latest way in which Apple is following in the footsteps of Samsung, whose Galaxy Note has long offered a stylus. Apple earlier followed Samsung’s lead by making larger versions of the iPhones, having seen how popular they were in Asian markets.

The iPhone 7 will be the fastest phone you can buy

The iPhone doesn’t seem like it should be the most powerful mobile device money can buy when compared to top Android devices. On paper, many of them offer better specs. However, in real-life tests and benchmarks, the iPhone always seems to outscore the best phones made by Apple’s top rivals. The iPhone 7 is also expected to follow in its predecessors’ footsteps, and crush recent competitors in tests.

A leaked screenshot showing a Geekbench score for the new iPhone seems to suggest the device will obliterate rivals once again, and it might be the first real iPhone 7 benchmark to hit the web after various other fake listings were posted online.

Last year’s iPhone 6s did remarkably well in Geekbench tests, scoring 2490 in single-core tests, and 4332 in multi-core tests – the scores are at 2485 and 4341, respectively, for the iPhone 6s Plus. Comparatively, this year’s Galaxy S7 edge apparently managed scores of 2141 and 5232 in the same tests. The Galaxy Note 7 Exynos version does up to 2081 and 6500 in the same tests, while the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 version reaches almost 1900 and over 5500 in the same tests. Sadly, neither phone is on sale right now since Samsung issued a recall.

Found by My Drivers, the alleged iPhone 7 Geekbench score shows 3379 for single-core performance and 5495 in multi-core tests. That’s enough to slightly beat the 12-inch iPad Pro which gets 3224 and 5466 in the same tests.

The image below shows the test was performed on September 4th for a device codenamed iPhone9,3, which is expected to be the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 given that it has 2GB of RAM inside. The handset is running iOS 10.1 and features a dual-core processor.

Apple will unveil the iPhone 7 during a special media event on Wednesday, and it’s very likely processing power and graphics performance improvements will be among the iPhone 7 features Apple addresses on stage. After all, every year Apple explains how its newest iPhone is even more impressive than its predecessor in terms of performance.

Will.I.Am Ruins Another Perfectly Fine Car

Frank Ocean is an impressive car fanatic, as proven by him penning car essays and peppering marques into lyrics from his new album, Blonde . His passion
for vehicles, while exuberant, comes across in a perfectly subtle manner. Diametrically opposing Ocean, in both automotive taste and adroitness, is
Will.I.Am. Case in point: what he’s done to this poor Tesla Model S.
With a widebody kit, a heap of faux vents, and a bunch of other garbage spewed onto the body of a rather comely car, Will.I.Am’s newly disfigured EV was videoed by a carspotter in front of Spago, a once-trendy restaurant in Los Angeles.

Gabby Douglas Explains Why She Spent the VMAs in the Hospital

When the Final Five hit the red carpet at the VMAs on Sunday, fans immediately noticed that one of the gold medal-winning Olympians was missing.
Multiple sources soon reported Gabby Douglas had been admitted to the hospital for a serious mouth infection, and, now, in a post to Instagram on
Tuesday, she explained in her own words what exactly had happened.
"I had a complication from a prior injury that caused a cyst to grow on a bone in my mouth," she wrote, alongside a photo of her in what appears to be a dentist's office. "Got it removed, and feeling much better now! Thanks for all your concerns and prayers, and HUGE thank you to the doctors that have taken care of me these last four days!"
Gabby also reassured fans she was"doing OK" and already "#OnTheRoadToRecovery." However, she
said she still will have to get her wisdom teeth removed - something she's clearly not looking forward to.

Apple decided to copy Samsung for a change

Apple’s 2017 iPhone, a device which may very well be called the iPhone 8, is shaping up to be the game-changing device iPhone owners have been
hoping for. Aside from reports that the iPhone 8 will feature a curved OLED display with an embedded home button , we’ve now heard more rumblings that the device may include an iris-scanning feature as well.
Apple has already begun placing orders for “iris-recognition” chips for its 2017 model iPhone.
Xintec is expected to enter mass
production for iris-recognition chips in
2017, which will boost the backend
house's revenues for the year, the report
cited market watchers as saying. New
orders for iris-recognition sensors
include those for the chips that will be
embedded in the 2017 series of iPhone,
the watchers were also quoted in the
report.
Iris scanning technology, we should note, isn’t new to the smartphone world, but perhaps Apple’s implementation will actually make the feature practical as opposed to merely a cool technology
that no one uses. Should this rumor pan out, it will be interesting to see how Apple positions the iris-scanning feature alongside Touch ID.
It's also worth mentioning that reputed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo earlier this year suggested that Apple was keen on adding new biometric sensor technologies to the iPhone. Specifically, Kuo said that Apple was working on an iris-scanning solution that would enable users to authenticate themselves (and perhaps transactions) with their face and/or eyes. To this end, Apple earlier this year acquired a Emotient, a company whose software is able to analyze and identify a particular face and even varying expressions and emotional states.
As a final point, remember that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 already boasts an iris-scanning feature. We'd suggest you pick one up and try it out for yourselves but there is that little problem of Samsung halting shipments amid reports of exploding devices .

Dubai's ruler sacked 9 senior officials because they weren't at work at 7:30 in the morning

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the emir of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, has sacked a bunch of senior officials and ordered a
major shake-up of the way the city is run after visiting government offices at 7:30 on a Sunday morning and finding that many staff members were not yet at work.
Al-Maktoum made an unannounced trip to a government office in Dubai, the city known for its huge skyscrapers and crazy wealth, this past Sunday - which is a normal working day in the UAE - and seems to have been disappointed by
the lack of workers present.
After the visit, his government posted a video on Instagram of his making the trip and finding the office empty, an exercise a Dubai media official said was intended to "send a message,"
according to Reuters.
Soon after the visit, al-Maktoum announced the forced retirement of nine of Dubai's most senior officials, all from the Dubai Municipality's executive management, including directors and
assistant directors-general in departments such as legal affairs and planning, the UAE's state news agency WAM reported, according to the
Mail Online . He thanked the officials for their services but said the emirate needed a new generation of leadership going forward.
Along with the trip to the office buildings, al-Maktoum also visited Dubai's international airport to carry out a similar inspection. This visit was also posted on Instagram.

Man Allegedly Wanted to Kill President Obama, Attack Mosque

A Massachusetts man, already under FBI investigation, was arrested over the weekend and charged with weapons possession after allegedly telling a childhood friend that he wanted to attack a mosque or kill President Obama, or do both, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Joseph Garguilo, 40, was arrested early Saturday morning in connection with the possession of a “trove of weapons” in violation of a restraining order,
ammunition and incendiary material, as well as his threats to use them, according to the U.S. Attorney.
He allegedly told the friend he wanted to “chain a mosque closed and burn it down. Burn every [person] down in there,” according to court records.
Another person also reported him to the FBI on July 27, the charging documents allege. That person feared he was using drugs, acquiring parts to make an AR-15 and stockpiling other weapons, food and
water because “Garguilo believes that the structure of America will collapse and that America is going to enter a state of martial law,” the court records state.
When martial law is declared, Garguilo told his children, he hopes to build thermite grenades to kill police officers, according to the documents.
That person also told the FBI that “he will plant bombs in police stations … and kill as many homeland security officers as he can before they kill him,” according to court documents.
The childhood friend also called the FBI to say he saw in Garguilo’s basement a partially assembled AR-15, crossbow and knives, according to the court
records.
The friend told the FBI Garguilo said he wanted to “attack a mosque and/or kill President Obama,” according to the court records. He also said Garguilo’s “mental state had gone downhill,” the
documents state.
The friend also reported that Garguilo made a comment to the effect that when Obama was on the golf course in Martha's Vineyard, Garguilo should
have taken the opportunity to kill him, according to court documents.
The United States Secret Service is aware of the arrest and referred questions to the FBI.
When agents searched Garguilo’s residence last Friday they found ammunition, magazines, parts to
assemble AR-15 rifles and chemicals that could be combined to create explosive material, according to the criminal complaint.
Agents also recovered handwritten notes allegedly threatening violence against Muslims.
Garguilo was taken into custody Saturday and had an initial court appearance Monday. He was charged
with possessing ammunition in violation of the restraining order. He did not enter a plea, but plans to plead not guilty, according to his attorney, Mark Meehan.
Meehan said Garguilo is, "first and foremost, a loving and dedicated father to his two boys."
"[T]he character the media is portraying Mr. Garguilo as being is not accurate,” the lawyer told ABC News in a statement. “Mr. Garguilo, from what I am aware of, has never entertained any plots against any individual or group. Mr. Garguilo may not possess mainstream political beliefs, but what beliefs he does
hold is no threat. He is a collector of self-defense tools and can be categorized as what is called a 'prepper,’ that is, preparing for difficult times.”
The FBI discovered that Garguilo has a criminal history with a number of “sealed adult appearances,” according to the court records. The status of an
earlier conviction was unclear, according to the FBI.
As a result of the information the FBI received, it contacted the Holliston Police Department in Massachusetts. Detectives there were familiar with
Garguilo and said they believed he had been involved in some kind of hit-and-run incident, according to court records.
Detectives also said that Garguilo had metal bars on his doors and windows, wears a handcuff key on his neck and is believed to abuse prescription
medication, the documents state.
The restraining order required that he surrender all firearms and ammunition to police based on the finding that there “there is a substantial likelihood of
immediate danger of abuse...”
A detention hearing is scheduled for Garguilo on Sept. 7. He is in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.
